Scratch performance: A Show For Spoken Word Records and Saxophone
Dave Waller trawled the dustiest corners of the world’s record shops collecting instructional spoken word LPs as the raw materials to sample and make stuff.
In this performance, the written word meets vinyl records, improvisation and saxophone. It’s an ode to the power of music, working through your nonsense, and finding wisdom in the strangest places – such as dusty copies of “Morse Code for Airmen” and “Carry On Smoking And Die”.
